Handles wet and dirty gas
Water acts as the liquid piston and sealing medium, so vapour, moisture and carryover are tolerated.
Product · Vacuum & Compression
The GLRP vacuum pump and GLRC compressor series handle gas and vapour where dry machines struggle — wet, dirty, flammable or explosive service — with near-isothermal compression and energy-optimised hydraulics.
Overview
Glorinda compact / direct-coupled liquid ring vacuum pumps are designed for the suction of gas and vapour in industrial processes. They reach a suction pressure of 33 mbar (abs.), equal to 97% vacuum; when operating as a compressor the maximum pressure is 0.26 MPa (abs.). A cavitation protection pipe protects the system during long operation near the limit vacuum.
The energy-optimised series uses a conical suction and discharge port, giving a wider flow area and lower resistance than flat-port designs — allowing energy savings of up to 18% when pumping air and 28% when pumping saturated steam.
The GLRC liquid ring compressor series compresses gas up to 0.7 MPaG from a single-stage impeller. Because compression is close to isothermal, it reduces risk when handling flammable or explosive gases — a decisive advantage in flare, chlor-alkali and petrochemical service.
Products are developed under the Glorinda brand and manufactured by qualified OEM partners. Glorinda controls technical specification, branding and quality control.
Why this product
Water acts as the liquid piston and sealing medium, so vapour, moisture and carryover are tolerated.
Near-isothermal compression keeps temperatures down when handling flammable or explosive gases.
Conical suction and discharge ports cut resistance — up to 18% saving on air, 28% on saturated steam.
No metal-to-metal contact between rotor and casing; stainless steel impellers resist corrosion.
A cavitation protection port reduces noise and protects the pump during high-vacuum operation.
“-E” models carry motors certified to dIIBT4 / dIICT4 for hazardous environments.
The range
Space-saving direct-coupled design, 27–500 m³/h, 0.81–15 kW, with explosion-proof variants.
Conical port design for lower resistance and significant energy savings in air and steam duty.
Built for continuous, demanding industrial vacuum service.
Single-stage impeller to 0.7 MPaG, 55–400 kW, ≥3 to ≥40 m³/min suction capacity.
Standard SS304 impeller, port plates and casing; non-standard materials available to order.

Data as published in Glorinda product documentation. Non-standard variants can be produced to customer requirements.
A suction pressure of 33 mbar (abs.), equal to 97% vacuum. A cavitation protection pipe is used when operating near the limit vacuum for long periods.
The conical suction and discharge port design gives up to 18% energy saving when pumping air and up to 28% when pumping saturated steam, compared with flat-port designs.
Yes. Models with the “-E” suffix are equipped with motors certified to explosion-proof class dIIBT4 / dIICT4 for flammable or hazardous environments.
Because water acts as the liquid piston and sealing medium, liquid ring machines tolerate wet, dirty and vapour-laden gas that would damage dry pumps — and near-isothermal compression makes them safer on flammable gases.
Yes. The standard configuration uses SS304 wetted parts, and non-standard products can be produced to customer requirements.
Gas composition, flow, suction and discharge pressure and area classification are enough for us to select a model.
