Solar CSP field and wind turbines at dusk with storage installation

Energy · EG

Energy that is efficient, localised and built to last.

Renewable generation, waste-to-energy, storage and efficiency upgrades to conventional plant. Glorinda treats energy as an engineering problem: right technology, right site, lowest lifetime cost and least waste of non-renewable resources.

Energy overview

Sustainable energy is not just an alternative — it is a necessity.

Glorinda delivers total solutions across renewable generation and improvements to non-renewable plant. We combine optimised technologies, localised solutions and reasonable starting costs with high efficiency and eco-friendliness — the factor with the greatest long-term impact on regional and environmental cost.

Our scope spans solar and concentrated solar-thermal (CSP), wind, hydropower, wave and tidal, geothermal, waste-to-energy and energy storage, plus engineering and efficiency upgrades for fossil-fuel power plants.

We approach energy as an engineering problem rather than a technology preference. The right answer depends on the resource, the load profile, the grid connection and the site — which is why every project starts with feasibility and resource assessment before any technology is recommended. Because we engineer across generation, storage and plant efficiency, that recommendation is not constrained by a single product line.

Water runs through more of this than most energy suppliers acknowledge. Boiler feed water, demineralised water production, condensate polishing, cooling-tower blowdown recovery, FGD wastewater and ash-handling water are all part of a modern thermal plant, and poor water quality shows up directly as lost efficiency and higher fuel consumption. Our environment team handles that scope inside the same project.

Common challenges we solve

  • Energy costs rising and exposed to fuel-price volatility
  • Grid intermittency without a storage strategy
  • Ageing fossil plant with poor efficiency and high emissions
  • Waste streams and flare gas thrown away instead of recovered
  • Water-hungry cooling and boiler cycles (see Environment)
  • Sites in remote or water-scarce locations needing localised power

Water solutions

Power plants are water plants too

Boiler feed water, demineralised water, condensate polishing, cooling-tower blowdown recovery and FGD wastewater are all part of a modern power project. Our Environment team handles the water side end to end.

Frequently asked

Do you build the power plant or just supply equipment?

Glorinda provides engineering (EP, EPC, EPCM) and supplies and integrates equipment. We do not self-perform civil construction; we act as EPC/EPCM contractor, Owner’s Engineer or advisor and provide engineering supervision, commissioning and start-up.

Which renewable technologies do you cover?

Solar and CSP, onshore and offshore wind, hydropower (including pumped and run-of-river), wave and tidal, geothermal, and waste-to-energy including biogas.

Can you add storage to an existing site?

Yes. We engineer hydrogen, thermal, battery (BESS), mechanical and pump-turbine storage, selected to your load profile and grid connection.

Do you improve existing fossil-fuel plants?

Yes. We upgrade turbine- and engine-based systems for efficiency, and handle the associated water systems — demineralised water, condensate polishing and FGD wastewater.
